AOW supports creator verification through connected platform accounts.
For Twitch creators, verification is automatic.
When you click Claim Profile:
- AOW checks the Twitch account connected to your AOW profile.
- AOW compares it against the Twitch account associated with the creator profile.
- If they match, ownership is verified automatically.
Why do we do this?
Automatic verification helps prevent impersonation and ensures creator profiles remain connected to their actual owners.
What happens if the accounts do not match?
The claim will be rejected until the correct Twitch account is connected.
For Twitch-backed profiles, manual claims are not available.
